Beliebter Lageplatz war die Belvedere Lagoon zwischen Sausalito und Tiburon am \u00f6stlichen Rand der Richardson Bay. Bei dem schweren Erdbeben von 1906 verloren dann viele ihr Haus in der Stadt und zogen notgedrungen in ihre Zweith\u00e4user auf dem Wasser. Sie brachten diese nun an die K\u00fcste Sausalitos, um einen leichteren Zugang zu haben. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Houseboat Community wuchs insbesondere im Zuge der von San Francisco ausgehenden amerikanischen Hippie Bewegung der 1960er als Ausdruck eines alternativen Lebensstils. Nach langj\u00e4hrigen K\u00e4mpfen um den rechtlichen Status der Siedlung geh\u00f6rt die Gemeinschaft heute zum festen Bestandteil der Stadt Sausalito. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
